Triggering ConfigMgr client actions with WMIC without pesky right click tools.

Are you a ConfigMgr 2007 \ 2012 administrator? Like to be able to trigger your clients to perform activities when you wish, example a Hardware Inventory or Software Inventory without waiting for the scheduled time to occur on the client? Don’t feel like installing right click tools and dealing with the mess that can come with them?

Let me introduce you to WMIC and the ability it gives you for making manual client actions locally or via remote. These actions can be done by opening a command prompt with elevated rights, script on the machine locally, or you can use tools like PSExec or PowerShell to do it remotely to client device.
